The Men of Honor Social Club started as an idea back in the late 1990s. Cousins Danny and Ed Jones would often talk about a place where they could hang out with like-minded men. A place to throw darts, shoot pool, play cards, and have a beer with their buddies. They imagined an “invite-only” place where men could be men. Over time, their large group of buddies got smaller. Life happened. They had kids, got older, and settled into routine. But the vision remained: a place where they could hang out with guys and do guy stuff.
Sometime around 2018, Ed started a group text with Danny and seven other buddies. The thread was a place where they could bullshit and make each other laugh. It became a digital club. When they weren’t making each other laugh with the inane, they were venting. Most of the venting was about the state of the country, politics, and the moral decay they saw around them. They became acutely aware of the damage that weak men were doing locally and nationally. Strong men had relinquished leadership roles in their communities, their states, and their nation. Weak men had stepped into the vacuum created by strong men busy working and raising families. Then the presidential election of 2020 happened. Frustrated by the chaos, the ineptitude, and the blatant malfeasance, a match was lit. Ed texted the group and said, “Enough." It was time for strong men to step up, for silent men to speak, and for good men to take the reins and lead. To lead their nation. To lead their states. To lead their communities. The Men of Honor Social Club was born.
The club’s mission is simple: gather in fellowship, support our communities, and develop the next generation of men. It is in developing the next generation of men that the club aims to make its biggest impact. The club's Junior Cadet program teaches boys the skills and lessons needed to grow into good, strong men. The club's scholarship program helps young men with post-secondary education and training, making special consideration for those raised by single mothers. The club believes developing boys into strong men will affect a course-correction and, in time, undo the damage caused by weak men.
